In session six of the Intermediate Cooking Series we will discover
the joys of bread baking, including classic French Baguettes, Rustic Pain
au Romarin, Pita Bread, Pretzels, and Focaccia and Flatbreads. We will
make a meal of our fresh breads, a Mixed Green Salad with Lemon Sorbet for
Dessert. |

Mardi will share one of her favorite menus with us. She prepares this
for many outings and occasions (especially, our trips to Wine Country).
Our Menu: Grilled Chicken Salad with New Potatoes, Roasted Red Peppers,
Hard-Cooked Eggs, Herb-Cured Kalamata Olives, Grilled Asparagus, and
Shrimp served with Lemon Mayonnaise and French Vinaigrette. With Frozen
Cappuccino Soufflés for dessert. |

Chile Rellenos are Mardi’s favorite chile dish
to prepare. She will show you how to roast, peel, seed, stuff, and
cook the peppers. We will also prepare Olga’s Salsa, Refried Beans,
and Pickled Vegetables, with Sopapillas for dessert. All our
southwestern series lunch classes are served with Prickly Pear
Lemonade, Ice Tea, and Water |
