Zana prepares for a big night at Mariscos Judy.
Zanahoria (Carrot) has been our amigo for
35 years. Bob met him when buying fish
and shrimp from the locals to import into the U.S
Zana was a lobster diver at the time and we
just hit it off immediately. Through all these
years, Zana has remained the same wonderful
person we met in the early '70s. His seafood cafe
is humble and a little primitive, but the meals
are always fresh and fabulous and guests
quickly become friends! |
We will enjoy classes in cooking many types of fresh seafood.
Most classes will be conducted under a ramada on the beach.
|
We will be cooking (and eating):
- Shrimp and Cheese Stuffed Chile Rellenos
- Grilled and Deep Fried fresh fish
- Fresh Gulf Shrimp
- Bouillabaisse/Siete de Mares
- Clams
- Paella
- and more!

There are essentially two Kino Bays……… Bahia de Kino Viejo (Old Kino) is
a small fishing village
which is virtually unchanged for many years.
Most of our classes will be conducted on the beach
there at Islandia.
The other Kino is Bahia de Kino Nuevo or New Kino.
This alter ego is made up mostly of newer vacation and
permanent homes stretching up the beach north from Old Kino.
Our guest hotel is located in New Kino about
halfway between Islandia and our friend Zana’s
beach restaurant, Mariscos Judy in New Kino |
