LINKS:
These are either Text or Images that when clicked upon,
you will be taken to another page. Your cursor will change
from an Arrow to the little Hand when you MOUSE OVER a link. |
TEXT
AND IMAGE LINKS: These are exactly the same as any other link.
Click on it and you will go there. |
MOUSE
OVER: This is a term which
describes moving your Mouse over an object on a page. If the object is a
link to somewhere else, or to some sort of action, your cursor will change
to the little Hand. |
SHOPPING
CART: The Shopping Cart is an electronic version of the metal
monstrosity you find in Brick and Mortar stores. (except it won't have one
squeaky wheel with gum stuck to it that steers you into that 8 foot tall
display of cans of cat food). When you click on "",
that item will be placed in your "cart". You may then resume
shopping, adding more stuff, or checkout. You also may remove that item,
add or lessen the quantity chosen, or just leave (please don't!).
Items in your cart will be automatically saved there for you if you would
like to return later. The saved items will stay for about 24 hours.
When you click on "Checkout" you will then be taken to a Secure
Sockets Layer page. Any information you provide about yourself is encoded
and unavailable to others. Notice in the "Address line" at
the top of the page, (where it begins; http://www.etc)
it has changed to; https://www.etc. When you see the
"S" appear after http, you are assured of being on a secure page.
NO PERSONAL INFORMATION IS GATHERED ABOUT YOU UNTIL YOU ENTER IT AT
CHECKOUT. IT IS ALWAYS SECURE AND CONFIDENTIAL. |
STORE:
In our vernacular, STORE simply means an area on our website where many
like items are grouped.
It's just like departments in a Department Store. |
ERRORS:
Many times when you get an ERROR, such as the wrong stuff showing up in
your shopping cart, or pages just not working right, it is due to cached
pages. A number of search engines will cache web pages instead of running
back and forth to retrieve new ones each time. This often results in
quicker loading pages but often they are outdated. Try clicking REFRESH in
your BROWSER. Often you can simply try again! |
PRODUCT
PAGES: Product pages are where we show you a larger
image and give you more information about that item. They are
normally reached by clicking on a LINK either TEXT or IMAGE.
This is also where you would go to place that item in your
SHOPPING CART. |
