Mardi's Famous:                Pico De Gallo  
     

2 small tomatoes; seeded and chopped

1 small onion, chopped

½ cup loosely packed cilantro leaves, coarsely chopped

1 green chile roasted, seeded, and chopped or 1 small can diced green chiles

1 or 2 jalapeno, or Serrano chiles; seeded and finely chopped

Juice of ½ small lime

½ teaspoon garlic salt

Salt to taste

 

 
 
 
 
 
DIRECTIONS:  
   

 Combine tomatoes, onions, cilantro, green chiles, and peppers in a bowl. 
Drizzle the lime juice over all and stir in. 
Add garlic salt and stir in. 
Taste and add salt if needed. 

Place in refrigerator for at least one hour, 8 hours is better to let flavors meld.
